Hello there!

After leaving school and doing an apprenticeship at Quantel in 1986, playing with Paintboxes and designing and installing TV studios and Sound studios, I relocated to Stockholm, Sweden. Here I played around with Hals and Editboxes, before diving in and learning Flame at The Chimney Pot, a facility I helped my friends set up back in 1996.

After a few years jumping between different countries in this youthful period of my life, I moved to the idyllic island of Mallorca, to head up the development of a software product called Mule; unfortunately no longer with us due to the advancement of desktop platforms and the demise of larger workstations. Returning back to Sweden, I went back to the box and spent several more years running Flame at places such as Syndicate in Stockholm, before joining a partnership to start up our own facility .redrum in 2008. Here I worked as VFX supervisor and completed major international commercial works included the much acclaimed Philips “Carousel”, with Adam Berg, which took home Grand Prix at Cannes in 2009.

2013, saw me leave the Nordic shores and head West towards the big apple, where I staffed up at the Mill NY, working as a Flame lead and VFX Supervisor working on major spots with heavy hitting Directors and agencies. Here I met and married my beautiful wife Liz, (also a Nuke comp). We later moved back to Sweden, to be closer to my children. Here I have been doing episodal work with companies such as Fido and ILP, working on blockbuster shows, “The Walking Dead” as well as “Black Sails”.

As you can see, a fairly diverse career, showing a range of disciplines and responsibilities. Extremely confident in Flame and Nuke, and with an adequate knowledge of 3D, I’ve never been afraid to learn, get my hands dirty, and I can run a room of clients, agencies and directors. Oh yeah, and scores of shoot supervisions under my belt 🙂

Hope to see you soon. R
